G. I. WHO??????

The world of political correctness is strangling our existence beyond belief. Paramount Pictures, on the heels of the wildly popular Transformers movie from the summer of 2007, decided to bring the the big screen another of many 1980s youth favorites, G. I. Joe. Though according to sources from Paramount it will do little to resemble the Elite American Heroes that many, including myself, grew up loving. The former G. I. Joe: A Real American Hero will now be replace as G. I. Joe (to stand for Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity).

G. I. Joe is and American Hero, but the company is afraid that the idea of an American Hero won't fly with the "international" audience. No the problem is that Hollywood has gone so far to the left that the United States Military can't do anything right or look good in any way, because America is the land of war-mongers. What a load of crap!

Paramount here is an idea! If you are true to the 1980 cartoons and write your script around that idea and the ideals that the U. S. Military are collectively the most advanced fighting force on the planet, you won't have to worry about the "international audience" or the revenues from around the world, because if done correctly a live action movie featuring G. I. Joe: A Real American Hero here in the good ole U. S. of A. would be the largest box office smash in history. I can promise you that. So do the right thing and put a movie out that is true and loyal to the millions of fans who have been craving this for years. Don't cave.

Taxes.....SCHIP.....and My Country!!!!

I have been contemplating this post for several days wanting to make sure I presented my thoughts in a clear and concise way as I always do, but I wanted to take extra special care for this topic of Taxes, the SCHIP program and how both are and will affect My Country.

Taxes......the IRS....April 15th.....Those three words/phrases, strike fear into the hearts of every American (legal ones at any rate). Because as we know it, this is how the United States Government throws their weight around and takes more and more of our money and our liberties. But what if taxes went away except when you decided to buy something? What if the IRS and their prying fat fingers were disbanded from their current form? And what if, just what if, April 15th became just the 15th day of the fourth month on the calendar? Well some will say that is a pipe dream, I say it can be reality. If and only if WE THE PEOPLE demand it of our government. What I am talking about is the Fair Tax. The best way to get the full story of the Fair Tax is to read The Fair Tax Book by Neal Boortz and Congressman John Linder. But the basic premise is really just this simple. You get your gross pay check, minus only the deductions for your benefits that you have elected to receive from your employer. That is it. Imagine no Federal Income Taxes, no Social Security Taxes, no Medicare Taxes. A truly wonderful thought. I know. It can be a reality. Read the book, it is available in paperback, 16 bucks. It is worth it.

The SCHIP program.......the veto....Bush telling 10 million children they cannot have health insurance. What a load of crap! 6 million children are already covered by this entitlement program. However in some areas there are more adults on the program than children. And the 4 million that would put it up to 10 million are children whose parent have a combined income of $83,000 dollars a year. Now let me ask you does that sound like the type of family that needs to have the government and us subsidize their health care insurance? I don't think so. It is a baby step towards complete socialization of our health care system. Which just in case anyone is paying attention is the greatest health care system in the world. Not perfect. But nothing is.

Wake up America, or we are going to loose our country completely to the Left wing socialists.

Hillary Proposes a Government Retirement Plan???

Here's the deal, it is not the job of the United States Government to fund your retirement. That is your job. Live in a smaller house, buy a less expensive car, go on a vacation where you drive instead of fly, if you want to retire and live at the same level of comfort that you live while you work those are just some suggestions. It is not the right of every American for the Government to take care of them when they retire, by matching dollar for dollar up to a $1,000 tax credit, paid for through higher estate taxes. It is your job to save your money. Put it away and let it earn interest. Let your money work for you, to make you able to live out the golden years of your life without having to rely on the Government for a Social Security Check, which for a lot of us will never come.

This is yet again another example of Hillary Clinton's socialist agenda. This is the redistribution of wealth! WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!! Please wake-up. My country is being hijacked by SOCIALISTS.......

The Road You Leave Behind.....

I have over the course of about the last two years been searching for something. I have been completely unable to pinpoint this constant yearning for whatever it has been. It has both perplexed and frustrated me as well as confused the hell out of me. But yesterday I found the answer to what I have been missing, or looking for, pondering over, yearning for. Yeah yearning for is the best description available.
Yesterday I attended the funeral of a close family friend. It was in the rural town of my youth. It is where I was reared. Where I made all the mistakes, all the triumphs, all the glory and honor that have made me the man I am today. The funeral was unlike any other I have ever witnessed. No one took a head count, but it bordered on 600 people. 600 people who all in one way or another had been touch by this wonderful woman whom we lay to rest. This wonderful former elementary teacher whom we lay to rest and whom angels lifted up, who had touched the lives of so many in the crowd as well as those in the crowd whose lives her husband have touched. They have both been special people in my life. And as I walked along the roads I had walked so many times so many years ago, a unique feeling of familiarity engulfed me. As the casket was unloaded and carried into the church and as the family followed their loved one in, a more perfect day I can’t remember seeing.
It was a day like many from my youth. The sun was bright, the air was crisp, with a gentle breeze, and the hymns of the birds floating through the air as Amazing Grace began inside the church and as that hymn was sung, I looked around at the faces of all those that were standing outside and those sitting in the folded chairs outside, because the church would only hold 200 people, and the clarity of the last two years found me in an unexpected place at an unexpected time, and I guess in a way it is fitting that it was in the place where I began that my new beginning would find me. And it has.
What found me was providence. As I looked around at those many people, was that they are what has made this country what it is today. Good, God fearing people, who comprise, WE THE PEOPLE. WE THE PEOPLE, can fix the problems we have and return this Country to where it belongs in the world.
The problem with this is that many people will say oh we can't do that. Well WE can! The citizens of this country can do anything. And if we can Unite on Principle, we can right the wrongs. So let's get together. Lets stand together and UNITE!!!! I fall to my knees and pray for that nightly.
