Tonight Barack Obama was elected President of the United States. The Coronation of this man as the next president has been 21 months in the making and from time to time it appeared that there were holes in his armor, but alas, America has decided that change is needed. But as the saying goes, be careful what you wish for, you might just get it. So sleep well tonight my fellow Americans, and get ready for an America unlike any you have known before. Because change is coming more rapidly than you think.

Has Liberty Died?
What has happened to this country? Has our greed overtaken our understanding of sanity? Have we lost all touch with our true capitalistic system? Has the era of "fairness" taken over completely? Bailouts. Covering Commercial Paper. AIG. Fannie and Freddy. Bear Sterns. Merrill Lynch. Examples seem to be endless and now late on this afternoon during the evening commute, Tsar Paulson, decides it is the responsibility of the Treasury for the United States Government to buy stock in financial institutions, to stabilize the financial markets. Uh, wasn't that what the $700 billion bailout package was supposed to do? And the $900 billion for commercial paper? What of that Mr. Paulson?
We have allowed Pandora's Box to be opened! Yes we have because "We the People" elected these idiots! And now we have no one who will stand up to them! Where are the "Real Americans"? The ones who believe in this country and believe that it is worth fighting for, even dieing for! There are out there you know, just waiting, biding their time to step to the forefront and be the leaders we long for. I know this to be true, with every ounce of my being.
Have faith my friends. Let not your heart be troubled. We will survive and we will be stronger, because "Real Americans" are about to remove the weasels from office, by beating them in the realm of ideas. The American people know what real leadership sounds like, what it feels like and soon, very soon, those men and women will rise, and the bells of Liberty will once more ring throughout this great land.....And all will be right in the world once more.

When Politics Matter More Than Solutions.....
I am shocked that no one has thought of this scenario yet! What if Pelosi giving this speech on the floor prior to the vote was all part of a scheme hatched by the Democrat Leadership? 95 Democrats voted against this bill and then Barney Frank comes out and says "the Republicans killed this." However let us call into question that had the 95 Democrats voted for this measure, it would have passed! But I don't believe the Democrat leaders wanted this bill passed and that is why Nancy Pelosi gave that partisan speech before the vote. So now the Democrats can try to blame the Republicans and unfortunately none of the Republicans in Congress will come out and say what I stated above. If 95 Democrats vote for this bill it passes so don't try to hang this on the Republicans!

The Great Communicator......
The Liberal Arguments are the same now as they were in 1964, the enemies of liberty are different, but the arguments of the ignorant endure time.....

Dateline New York: Sunday, September 14, 2008: Financial Burdens Continue
When you wake up on Monday morning and turn on the news, the big story will be how two American Financial institutions that have been household names will cease to exist. The top story on Drudge tonight.....Lehman Brothers will file bankruptcy protection and Merrill Lynch will be bought by Bank of America for $44 Billion!
How did this happen you may ask? And the answer is very simple...mismanagement and greed! These companies deserve to fall flat on their faces. Just last week the Federal Government acquired Fannie Mac and Freddie Mae, or rather we did. The mismanagement of these quasi-government owned banks, and the ineptness of their CEOs caused their problems, and now the American people are on the hook, for what some say in the long run will be $1.2 Trillion dollars. Now a few years ago, a couple of other companies did exactly the same thing that Fannie and Freddie did and their CEOs are in prison. Enron and Worldcom ring a bell? The CEOs of Fannie and Freddie and Lehman and Merrill should be held accountable just as past CEOs have been held accountable.
Meanwhile the house of cards that is the American Economy, has more and more pressure placed on it. Sooner or later the Big Bad Federal government won't be able to save it and neither will our friends at Bank of America.
Reread your history folks, go back and look at the 1920s, we are their again. The warning signs were there then and they are here now. My advice? Pray and start stocking up on medicine, food, and clothing.
And if the economy doesn't collapse, you can call me the mayor of Crazytown. And believe me, I'd be quite alright with that........

IM--PALIN
After five days of media raking her over the coals and targeting her 17-year old Daughter, Bristol, Sarah Palin dazzled at the Republican National Convention Wednesday night. Hitting hard on issues and taking the Democrats and Liberal Media on directly through comedy, while never losing her composure or her million dollar smiling.
It has been a long time since conservatives have had something to be this excited about, but Sara Palin is the real deal, and though she is the Republican VP pick right now, it is my belief that this small town mayor and Governor of Alaska will be the first female President of the United States one day.
Now that is Change you can believe in........

Obama's e-mail about WGN-AM
The following is an email sent out by an Obama grassroots organization to attempt to censor Stanley Kurtz. This should concern all Americans, regardless of Party affiliations. The Truth about Senator Obama is out there, you need only look beyond the hype and bias of the main stream media.
Text of the e-mail the Obama campaign sent to supporters:
August 28, 2008 In the next few hours, we have a crucial opportunity to fight one of the most cynical and offensive smears ever launched against Barack.Tonight, WGN radio is giving right-
wing hatchet man Stanley Kurtz a forum to air his baseless, fear-mongering terrorist smears.
He's currently scheduled to spend a solid two-hour block from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. pushing lies, distortions, and manipulations about Barack and University of Illinois professor William Ayers.Tell WGN that by providing Kurtz with airtime, they are legitimizing baseless attacks from a smear-merchant and lowering the standards of political discourse.Call into the "Extension 720" show with Milt Rosenberg at (312) 591-7200(Show airs from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. tonight)
Then report back on your call at http://my.barackobama.com/WGNstandardsKurtz has been using his absurd TV appearances in an awkward and dishonest attempt to play the terrorism card.
His current ploy is to embellish the relationship between Barack and Ayers.Just last night on Fox News, Kurtz drastically exaggerated Barack's connection with Ayers by claiming Ayers had recruited Barack to the board of the Annenberg Challenge. That is completely false and has been disproved in numerous press accounts. It is absolutely unacceptable that WGN would give a slimy character assassin like Kurtz time for his divisive, destructive ranting on our public airwaves. At the very least, they should offer sane, honest rebuttal to every one of Kurtz's lies.Kurtz is scheduled to appear from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the Chicago market.
Calling will only take a minute, and it will make a huge difference if we nip this smear in the bud. Confront Kurtz tonight before this goes any further:http://my.barackobama.com/WGNstandards
Please forward this email to everyone you know who can make a call tonight.Keep fighting the good fight,Obama Action Wire
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Facts on Barack and William Ayers:William Ayers was involved with the Weather Underground when Barack Obama was eight years old, and Barack has roundly condemned their actions.
Last night on Fox News, Kurtz tried to radicalize an education reform program in Chicago called the Annenberg Challenge. The Challenge was funded by Republican Walter Annenberg, introduced by Mayor Daley and Republican Governor Jim Edgar, and one of its initiatives was even praised by John McCain.
Kurtz claimed on Fox News that William Ayers recruited Obama to the Annenberg Challenge -- a flat out lie. Ayers did not serve on the board of the Challenge, and he had nothing to do with Barack's recruitment. Some more background on Stanley Kurtz:
Stanley Kurtz Is Tied To Bill Kristol's Conservative Think Tank. Kurtz is a Senior Fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center. The Policy Advisory Board includes: William Kristol. [Bio, policy advisory board, EPPC website, accessed 8/27/08]
Stanley Kurtz Was A Research Fellow At The Hoover Institution. In 2004, Stanley Kurtz was a research fellow at the Hoover Institution. [Boston Globe, 3/10/04]
Stanley Kurtz Claimed That Same Sex Marriage In Denmark Led To A Decline In Marriage Resulting In 60 Percent Of Children Being Born Out Of Wedlock. Stanley Kurtz stated: "Data from European demographers and statistical bureaus show that a majority of children in Sweden and Norway are now born out of wedlock, as are 60 percent of first-born children in Denmark. In socially liberal districts of Norway, where the idea of same-sex registered partnerships is widely accepted, marriage itself has almost entirely disappeared. [Boston Globe, 3/10/04]
Analysis Of Statistics On Marriage In Scandinavia Was Debunked. "Kurtz's argument -- which O'Reilly embraces -- is that when legal rights are accorded to gays, through some unspecified process heterosexual couples begin bearing children out of wedlock and refuse to marry when they otherwise would. There are many government policies that alter the incentives to get and stay married, and thus have direct and unsurprising effects on marriage; for instance, the availability of no-fault divorce leads to more divorces, and laws providing the same rights for cohabitating heterosexual couples as married couples lead to fewer marriages, as couples make private commitments to each other without seeking the imprimatur of the state. But neither Kurtz nor O'Reilly has provided a plausible justification for their belief that extending rights to gay couples harms heterosexual marriage." [Media Matters For America, 6/3/05]
Claimed That The National Nursing Shortage Was The "Fault Of Feminism." In 2002, the Los Angeles Times reported, "Back at National Review Online, contributing editor Stanley Kurtz makes the same point! He, too, says women shouldn't be trying to play by men's rules. Of course he has a slightly different take. According to Kurtz, the national nurse shortage is the fault of feminism, for bringing about "the replacement of a traditional ethic of sacrifice by a post-'60s ethos of self-fulfillment." Kurtz stated at the time "Nursing was once built around a spirit of feminine compassion and sacrifice. In the new, feminist world, that is unacceptable." [Los Angeles Times, 7/21/2002]
Stanley Kurtz Stated That The Harvard Faculty No Confidence Vote In Lawrence Summers Would Cause "Lasting Damage To The Cultural Left." On March 19, 2005, Stanley Kurtz stated on the National Review Online website, "I think the vote of no confidence in Lawrence Summers is a wonderful thing. Harvard continues to discredit itself with the American public. The faculty is trapped. If Summers resigns, this extraordinary example of political correctness will come back to haunt Harvard, and the entire academy, for years. But if Summers hangs on, the faculty itself will have been humiliated -- checked by the very fact of public scrutiny. Either way, Harvard is tearing itself apart. So long as the public simply writes of the academy, the mice can play. But the intense public scrutiny in this case puts the captains of political correctness into a no-win situation. Like the closely watched Susan Estrich fiasco, this battle is doing lasting damage to the cultural left. As they say, sunlight is the best disinfectant." [National Review Online, 3/19/05]

The media's attack on Governor Sarah Palin is beyond anything I have witnessed. It took the mainstream media months to come to grips with, and have not fully vetted Barack Obama's past and now the media turns it's sights on a 17 year old child who got pregnant! I bet if she had aborted the child the left would call her couragous!

WHY NOT US?
Our Liberty is under attack! It is Here and Now that WE THE PEOPLE must stand up and take our Great Country Back! If not Us then who? If not Now when?
This country is the greatest country on the face of the planet. We are the world's last best hope!!!
So why is it that so many politicians want to tell us what is wrong with this country? Why is it all doom and gloom and no sunshine? I cannot for the life of me understand why with all the greatness that is in this country, we have those that seek to degrade it. We are not perfect, no country is, but we are a whole lot better than England, Russia, or Iran....
To all politicians, don't tell me what is wrong with my country! Tell me what is great about My Country and what solutions you have to help make it even better! That is what I want to hear from you!!!

To Achieve Victory.....Follow this Platform!!!
My best friend and I have watched the landscape of this great Country change drastically in our lifetimes. We seem more divided than ever before. And that causes us great pain! Look at those we have chosen as leaders, and again your heart should break for some of them do not deserve the office which they hold. We yearn for leaders that do not seek personal gratification of the office they hold, leaders who do not seek glory, but rather those who seek to do that which is right, honest, and honorable. Those who seek to do the will of those who send them. I have been under the impression that those were the kind of people who ran for political office, and some are, though it appears that very few of them actually seek office for these reasons. I fall to my knees and pray that this changes!
And so I have pondered and sought the council of my most trusted friend, we wish to see the best men and women this country has, to run for political office, so that our Country continues to be the greatest Hope of the world. That Shining City on the Hill as Winthrop and Reagan called it. So what follows is a platform or more rightly stated a movement that would, if adopted set the world of politics on it’s ear.
The greatest part of this platform is it transcends party affiliation and truly unites us on principles. I hope you enjoy and if you do, please comment and let me know.
The Four Points for Victory
1. Transparency— Say what you mean and mean what you say. When a vote is cast, construct a website dedicated to the description of the legislation that is being considered, how you voted on the legislation, and why. And NEVER vote “PRESENT”, unless of course there are circumstances beyond your control, and that doesn’t mean a speaking engagement. And send out a monthly or quarterly newsletter (nothing fancy, so that the expense to the taxpayer is at it's absolute minimum) letting your constituency know what you are doing. Hold town hall meetings to obtain feedback from those who elected you. In short be beholden to no one other than those who elected you!
2. Uphold the Constitution—allow this document to guide you and be rooted in this founding document. Never allow the thoughts of men today to cause you to stray from the Founder's guide. ( i. e. gun control, freedom of speech, freedom of religion)
3. Principled Leadership— Be a leader of CONSERVATIVE principles, regardless of which party decides to follow those principles. Know what you believe in and stand up for what you believe. Also meaning you are going to take each issue in a conservative light and not just vote down party lines for the sake of voting party lines. (i.e., a republican sponsoring a bill that expands entitlement programs....). If you change your position because you believe it to be politically expedient then you probably shouldn't be running for political office.
4. Self-imposed term limit—As revolutionary as it sounds, this is the way it was intended. When you announce your candidacy inform your constituents that you will seek office for no more than two terms if you are lucky enough to earn their votes for that long. If at the end of two terms, public opinion is such that your constituents wish you to seek another term then so be it. However at the end of six years you are done. Have your resignation letter written when your first campaign begins, so that people know you are serious. This does not exclude you from seeking another office at some point, or acting as an advisor for someone. And you will also actively support a person who is willing to carry the torch forward on the same platform you began.
What a world we would have if the power hungry politicians operated by guidelines such as these. If only….

Change.....
It has been talked about alot these past two years, but the country artist Taylor Swift talks about change in her song that is featured on the Olympic Soundtrack and I have listened to this sound a number of times and though it was written about her battling to get to the top on a small record label, and the night she won the New Horizon Award, if you read the words it is really about the battle we all wage. It is about those battles, that when self-doubt inches in and we question why we do what we do, we fight on, knowing that there is something inside each of us that drives us ever onward until at last we stand as champions. I am posting the words "Change" if you haven't heard this song, you should....
Change
And it’s a sad picture, the final blow hits you
Somebody else gets what you wanted again and
You know it’s all the same, another time and place
Repeating history and you’re getting sick of it
But I believe in whatever you do
And I’ll do anything to see it through
Chorus
Because these things will change
Do you feel it now?
These walls that they put up to hold us back will fall down
This revolution, the time will come
For us to finally win
We sing hallelujah, we sing hallelujah
So we’ve been outnumbered
Raided and now cornered
It’s hard to fight when the fight ain’t fair
We’re getting stronger now
Find things they never found
They might be bigger
But we’re faster and never scared
You can walk away, say we don’t need this
But there’s something in your eyes
Says we can beat this
Tonight we stand, get off our knees
Fight for what we’ve worked for all these years
And the battle was long, it’s the fight of our lives
But we’ll stand up champions tonight
Chorus 2
It was the night things changed
Do you see it now?
These walls that they put up to hold us back fell down
It’s a revolution, throw your hands up
Cause we never gave in
And we sang hallelujah, we sang hallelujah
Hallelujah

Hypocrisy at its Best or Worst?
Jerome Corsi has written a book called THE OBAMA NATION, and yes Corsi is well aware of the play on words. But how hypocritical is it of the media and Barack Obama to attempt to discredit Corsi and his book when it has close to 700 references in it? Is it because Corsi is a “Liar” and a “Bigot” as the Obama Campaign calls him? Or is it simply the fact that someone had the stones to step into the ring with the anointed one and question his background, his beliefs, and his associations with radicals? Corsi has been ripped to shreds in the media, and for what? Telling the truth about how radical this man who wants to be president is? Barak Obama wants to be the leader of the Free World and no one in the media has vetted this man! Why is that? Because he himself is a radical!
Here is an analogy that a friend shared with me this weekend. If I had attended a church for the KKK and heard the rhetoric coming from the pulpit I don’t think it would have taken me twenty years to decide that I didn’t subscribe to what was coming out of the mouth of the man behind the pulpit. If I didn’t truly believe what was being said, I wouldn’t have stayed for twenty years, but maybe that is just me….
I am in the middle of reading Corsi’s book right now and it is quite a good book, with full references so you may go and research for yourself and see if Corsi is a lying bigot or if perhaps if he got too close to exposing the man behind the curtain, as he hollers into the microphone, “pay no attention to the man behind the curtain……” We know how that worked out for Dorothy

Letter Sent to Lindsey Graham, regarding the Gang of 10....
Senator Graham,
I heard today about the Gang of Ten (5 Republicans and 5 Democrats) that have come together to propose an energy bill in the Senate. I beg you sir, to not cave to this bipartisan measure. If you are going to compromise, make the Democrats compromise with you; don't give the Democrats what they want. You are a leader in the Republican Party. You have Republicans in the House who have stayed in Washington, and are fighting to get an up or down vote on the American Energy Act of 2008. I agree that we need to advance alternative energy forms. I understand that there is great pressure to do something. But not at the expense of caving in to ideas that don't increase the supply of oil to a degree that will actually benefit the American People. And quite honestly by increasing the taxes on the oil companies, the price is not going to go down, the price will go up, because those increases will be passed on to the consumers. And then who will the Left blame? The oil companies!
Senator, I am not someone who wishes to come down on our leaders. Yours is a thankless job, and I again, understand the pressure to do something, but I again implore you to look past this cycle and think about the long term solutions that will actually work. Oil does not just impact our transportation industry. Oil impacts everything we touch. Oil is not evil; oil has taken this country to the summit of the mountain in the world. And there is no reason, that we should surrender that place, simply because a small minority of politicians and environmentalists believe we are the problem with the world when it is clear we are the solution to the world's problems. I know that, You Senator, know this to be true. I know that you sir, are a patriot who loves our Country. Please fight for this country, fight for what 65% of the American People want, which is easier access to our own natural resources. We can do anything Senator, and right now, this very moment in time you can take the lead in the Senate. The Republicans in the Senate are waiting for someone to lead them. Step forward and lead them and the American People will rally around you.
Thank you for your service Sir and may God bless and keep you. My personal thank you to you for all that you do for our country.

One Voice….Two Messages….
Congressman Travis Childers, sent out to the households of the First Congressional District a Special Report on Energy. In this report Congressman Childers claims that he is “working to provide immediate relief from high gas prices and long-term solutions to our energy crisis.” In this flier Childers lays out his Six Point Plan, two immediate Relief bullet points and four Long-term Solutions to our energy crisis.
Congressman Childers’s no doubt gave much time and effort to put together his Six Point Energy Plan and at tax payer expense, have that plan sent to each of our households. However, his voting record doesn’t back up what he claims to be stand for. Nine times there have been votes in the House of Representatives dealing with energy and energy exploration. And 9 times, Congressman Childers has voted against those energy bills. The most recent coming on July 25th when he voted against the American Energy Act of 2008, a bill he claims to have co-sponsored in the mail out his constituents received. Now I am no Congressman, but if I were claiming to those who elected me that I co-sponsored a bill that would help ease their burden at the pump, I think I would make sure I voted in favor of that bill.
I have nothing personal against Congressman Childers, he won by a majority of the votes cast and that makes him the Congressman for every soul in the First Congressional District, but what I do expect and you should expect as well is for our newly elected Congressman to act like the “conservative” he ran as. I expect him to side with the people of the First District not the Democrat Leadership in Washington. Or perhaps he believes that Nancy Pelosi is going to cast enough votes herself to get him re-elected come November?

Messages Being Sent.....From Russia with Love,
Their baaaaaccccckkkkkk!!!!!! Though a shell of their former communist self, the Russians are growing strong and have been for quite some time. So as the Russian military throws it's might around on the independent, democratic state of Georgia, what are they actually trying to do? They are attempting to prove a point and their point is simply this. They believe that the American time is past and that now is the time of Russia, China, Iran and the rest of their allies. They are sending a message to the world that Russia under the watchful eye of Tsar Putin.
There were reports a few days ago that Russian planes have bombed a BP oil pipeline but it turns out that they didn't actually hit the pipeline, they missed. Missed? Really? If they wanted to hit the pipeline they would have. If they wanted to take over Georgia they could. If they wanted to take over all the former Soviet States they could. Because who is going to stop them? The United Nations? No way. The U. S.? Perhaps but I don't believe the politicians have the stomach for it to be quite honest.
This is a very precarious situation and a fine line if about to be walked. Russian controls nearly all of the oil and gas that the western European countries need. And Putin knows it. He can very easily hold Western Europe hostage with oil and natural gas. We, as Americans, should be very concerned about the amount of power Russia believes they have. Putin wants to return to the era of a Cold War, the problem with that for the U. S. we are not in a position to go head to head with Russia in our current political environment.

When September Comes.....
I write this letter to simply bring attention to an event that will take place in early September when the Congress returns from vacation and you will hear from the majority of media outlets that the Republican party is going to shut down the government, and that it is a political trick to win favor with their base of conservative right wingers. Let me assure you that nothing will be further from the truth.
For some time now there has been a debate in our country. How can we lower gas prices? Strategic Petroleum Reserve? Drill in ANWR? Drill offshore? Invest in alternative energy sources? Renewable energy sources? The answer? All of the above. Right now the entire United States transportation industry is run on oil. Along with basically everything we touch. It didn’t get that way overnight and it will not change overnight. Right now in our country the average price of gas according to AAA is $3.88/gallon. Our country uses 20 million barrels of oil per day. Simple economics tells us as demand increases and supply decreases, price increases. When supply increases and demand remains the same or decreases, price will certainly decrease. So if we had more oil, price would decrease. 65% of the American people are in favor of drilling for more oil. Why aren’t we?
Something that most Americans don’t know and something I didn’t know until recently is that the moratorium on off-shore drilling is renewed every year by Congress. The moratorium will expire on September 30th and the Republicans in the House and Senate are prepared to vote against the Budget Resolution to continue funding the Government, if the Democrats attempt to insert a one-year extension of the moratorium. If the Budget Resolution fails, certain Government agencies will shut down until the resolution is passed. But if the budget is passed without the moratorium, then real solutions are possible. Wonder what that would do to the price of gasoline?

One Voice...Two Messages....
Our esteemed Congressman, Travis Childers, sent out to the households of the First Congressional District a Special Report on Energy. In this report Congressman Childers espouses that he is “working to provide immediate relief from high gas prices and long-term solutions to our energy crisis.” In this flier Childers lays out his Six Point Plan, two immediate Relief bullet points and four Long-term Solutions to our energy crisis.
The first point Congressman Childers six point plan is to stop speculation and price gouging. Propping up his vote for what has been called the “NOPEC” bill which threatened lawsuits against Middle Eastern Countries and Speculators for price Gouging. Let me take a moment to educate not only the United States Congress as well as any of you that think this was a smart idea. First and foremost, oil is traded on the free market and in free markets, you have cycles and the high price of oil is driven up on the free market simply because demand is high, not just in the United States, but all over the world and supply is low. Standard economics, high demand, low supply, equals higher prices. Period.
And while yes, it would be wonderful if the OPEC nations would increase supply. It would be simpler in both the short term and long term to increase domestic oil supply by drilling in the Outer Continental Shelf, and in the Arctic National Wildlife Reserve (ANWR), and while we do this, we also as Congressman Childers puts it in point number five of his six point plan, “invest in research and development in alternative fuel sources.” A great idea!
The United States has the brightest most innovative people in the world. Though you would never know it from the tone of most politicians, you would think that the United States is just a bunch of lazy good for nothing, environment hating idiots. But look back at all of the innovations the American people have given to the world. The light bulb, the telephone, electricity, the microwave, the combustible engine, the airplane, penicillin, the ability to go into space, we walked on the moon, the internet (of course, this may have been Al Gore, though he is an American), and countless other innovations. And yet, we are dependent on foreigners to supply our energy. Come on!
Congressman Childers’s no doubt gave much time and effort to put together his Six Point Energy Plan and at tax payer expense have that plan sent to each of us. However, his voting record doesn’t back up what he claims to be stand for. Nine times, that is right; nine times there have been votes in the House of Representatives dealing with energy and energy exploration. And 9 times, our esteemed Congressman has voted against these energy bills. The most recent coming on July 25th when he voted against the American Energy Act of 2008 (HR 6566), a bill he claims to have co-sponsored in the mail out his constituents received. Now I am no Congressman, but I am a thinker, and if I were claiming to those who elected me that I co-sponsored a bill that would, 1. Open the Arctic Coastal Plain and our deep water resources to drill for oil and natural gas, 2. Allow development of our nations shale oil resources, 3. Easing refinery restrictions to increase domestic production, 4. Promote coal-to-liquid technology (a completely environmentally safe option), 5. Permanently extend the tax credit for alternative energy production, and 6. Eliminate barriers to the expansion of emission-free nuclear power production; I think I would make sure I voted in favor of debating that bill.
Now I have nothing personal against Congressman Childers, he won by a majority of the votes cast and that makes him the Congressman for every soul in the First Congressional District, but what I do expect and you should expect as well is for our newly elected Congressman to act like the “conservative” he ran as. I expect him to put his money where his mouth is and vote the way the majority of the First Congressional District would want him to vote. Or perhaps he believes that Nancy Pelosi is going to help keep him in Washington, if he will only vote the way she wants him to vote. Just an idea. After all, Speaker Pelosi has said there will be no debate on energy bills on the floor of the House of Representatives. No debate on drilling, no debate on increasing our refining capacity, because as she has said she wants to save the planet.
Well as for me, I want the Congress to pass an energy bill that will side with 75% of the American people who want to start drilling and drilling now, so we can have lower gas prices! The Earth has been her for millions of years, and honestly, there is not really anything that mankind is going to do or not do that is going to effect the natural cycles of mother nature…….

Federal Gas Tax increased by 200%?????? Are they Serious???
I was floored when I read this Headline on the Heritage Foundation's website. The National Surface Transportation Policy and Revenue Commission released a report on January 30th proposing a .25 cent tax on gasoline and increasing it over the next five years to .40 cents and then adjusting it with inflation after that point.
It may be just me but I like my money. I would like them to cut the federal tax on gasoline by 40 cents over the next five years, while at the same time taking some of that "ear-mark" money and cutting the enviromental regulations and allowing private companies to build more oil refineries and begin to drill in ANWAR and off the coast of Florida.
Don't try to take more our our money, get the monkey off our backs.
Now this report goes on to say that this increased revenue will go to new roads, transit, administrative, and environmental initiatives, including a 700 percent increase in Amtrak subsidies. AMTRAK SUBSIDIES????? If they can't make it on their own, shut down the damn rail lines. What the hell are they talking about?
